These markets focus on the interplay between the first half and full game outcomes in a football match between New England and Buffalo. Each market specifies a particular combination of results for both halves and the full game to determine its resolution.
All markets resolve based on the combined results of the first half and the full game (including overtime) of the New England vs Buffalo Pro Football game originally scheduled for Oct 4, 2026. For a market to resolve to Yes, both the specified first half result and the specified full game result must occur exactly as stated. If either the first half or full game result does not match the market's conditions, the market resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original scheduled start time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, the markets will resolve to a fair price. All markets are independent, each requiring a specific pairing of first half and full game outcomes to settle as Yes.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s prices are driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell based on their own analysis. You may find that this market offers different probabilities than those offered by sportsbooks, particularly as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. It's common to see discrepancies, especially closer to the event date, as traders incorporate a wider range of factors.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are constantly adjusting their positions based on news, analysis, and their own insights, causing the prices to fluctuate. Higher volume generally indicates greater confidence in a particular outcome, while price movements signal changing expectations. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to provide a real-time assessment of the event’s likelihood.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the New England versus Buffalo game, specifically the 1st Half / Fulltime Result. The final outcome will be determined by the official game statistics and results as reported by the NFL. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct outcome will be paid out according to the market price at resolution.
Several signals could significantly move this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either New England or Buffalo would likely cause price adjustments. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they are expected to heavily impact the game, could also influence trading activity. Unexpected news related to team strategy or coaching decisions might also shift probabilities. Finally, significant public sentiment shifts, potentially driven by expert analysis or media coverage, could lead to changes in the market’s pricing as traders react to new information.
