This market will resolve "Yes" if the listed team is ranked within the top 3 (positions 1 through 3, inclusive) of the Week 6 Associated Press (AP) Top 25 college football poll for the 2026 season. Otherwise, this market will resolve "No". The "Week 6 AP poll" refers to the AP Top 25 poll released in Week 6 of the 2026 regular season, expected on October 11, 2026. The preseason poll does not count. A team ranked exactly 3th counts as "Yes"; a team ranked 4th or lower, receiving only "also receiving votes," or unranked counts as "No". If the AP does not release a Week 6 poll for the 2026 season by October 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, resolution will be based on the first official in-season AP Top 25 poll published thereafter. The primary resolution source will be the official Associated Press Top 25 college football poll (https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-football-poll); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Typically, prediction markets and sportsbooks offer differing perspectives on event outcomes. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. Therefore, discrepancies can arise from differing levels of information, biases, or simply differing opinions among bettors and market participants. It's common to see this market reflect a 'wisdom of the crowd' effect, potentially identifying undervalued or overvalued outcomes compared to initial sportsbook offerings. Analyzing these differences can provide valuable insights.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the Week 6 AP Poll is released and the top three teams are verifiable from credible public reporting. The official AP Poll rankings will serve as the definitive source for determining which teams met the conditions for a positive outcome in this market. Any disputes regarding the AP Poll’s release will be handled according to Polymarket’s standard procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process. Traders should monitor the AP Poll release closely as the resolution date approaches.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Unexpected upsets in upcoming games, key player injuries, or changes in team performance could all shift the perceived probabilities. News regarding coaching changes or significant team dynamics could also influence trading activity. Public perception and media coverage surrounding team prospects will play a role, as will the outcomes of games involving teams currently projected to be in contention for a top-three ranking. Monitoring these events and their potential impact on team rankings is crucial for informed trading in this market.
