This market will resolve "Yes" if the listed team is ranked within the top 25 (positions 1 through 25, inclusive) of the Week 9 Associated Press (AP) Top 25 college football poll for the 2026 season. Otherwise, this market will resolve "No". The "Week 9 AP poll" refers to the AP Top 25 poll released in Week 9 of the 2026 regular season, expected on November 1, 2026. The preseason poll does not count. A team ranked exactly 25th counts as "Yes"; a team ranked 26th or lower, receiving only "also receiving votes," or unranked counts as "No". If the AP does not release a Week 9 poll for the 2026 season by November 1, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, resolution will be based on the first official in-season AP Top 25 poll published thereafter. The primary resolution source will be the official Associated Press Top 25 college football poll (https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-football-poll); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, aggregating insights from a diverse group of traders. This often leads to probabilities that are more accurate than those offered by traditional sportsbooks, which may be influenced by factors like house bias or public perception. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and represent another data point for evaluating the potential outcomes of this market. Discrepancies can arise due to differing methodologies and the specific information each source considers when setting their odds. It's valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a team’s inclusion in the Week 9 AP Poll Top 25. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares in a particular team, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand, responding to new information and shifts in sentiment among traders. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of participants.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official Week 9 AP Poll is released and is verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will reflect which teams are included in the Top 25 rankings as determined by the AP Poll. The resolution will be based on the official rankings published by the Associated Press, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the market’s outcome. Traders should monitor the release of the AP Poll to understand the final results.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before it resolves. Unexpected upsets in college football games, key player injuries, and changes in team performance are all potential catalysts. Significant shifts in public perception, as reflected in media coverage and expert analysis, can also influence trading activity. Furthermore, any news regarding potential NCAA sanctions or eligibility issues for players could move the market. Traders should closely follow these developments to anticipate potential price fluctuations and adjust their positions accordingly.
