This market will resolve "Yes" if the listed team is ranked within the top 25 (positions 1 through 25, inclusive) of the Week 7 Associated Press (AP) Top 25 college football poll for the 2026 season. Otherwise, this market will resolve "No". The "Week 7 AP poll" refers to the AP Top 25 poll released in Week 7 of the 2026 regular season, expected on October 18, 2026. The preseason poll does not count. A team ranked exactly 25th counts as "Yes"; a team ranked 26th or lower, receiving only "also receiving votes," or unranked counts as "No". If the AP does not release a Week 7 poll for the 2026 season by October 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, resolution will be based on the first official in-season AP Top 25 poll published thereafter. The primary resolution source will be the official Associated Press Top 25 college football poll (https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-football-poll); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk assessment, this market allows anyone to participate and express their beliefs about which teams will be in the Top 25. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information and signals that sportsbooks may overlook, or to react more quickly to breaking news regarding team performance or player injuries. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a team being ranked in the Top 25, and the price of each share reflects the market's collective probability of that outcome. As more people buy shares in a particular team, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of success. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts to new information and changing sentiment, providing a real-time assessment of each team's ranking prospects. The current price of a share represents the implied probability of that team being in the Top 25.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official Week 7 AP Poll is released and verifiable from credible public reporting. The AP Poll is a widely recognized ranking system in college football, compiled by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. The market will settle based on whether each team is included within the Top 25 of that poll. The outcome is determined solely by the AP Poll's published rankings and is not subject to interpretation or subjective judgment. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before it resolves. Unexpected upsets in upcoming games, major player injuries, or changes in team performance are all potential catalysts. News regarding coaching changes or significant team discipline issues could also shift the odds. Additionally, the release of preliminary rankings or power indices from other sources could influence trader sentiment. Any information that alters perceptions of a team's strength or schedule has the potential to move this market, creating opportunities for informed traders to capitalize on changing probabilities. Keep an eye on college football news and analysis for potential signals.
