This market will resolve "Yes" if the listed team is ranked within the top 25 (positions 1 through 25, inclusive) of the Week 6 Associated Press (AP) Top 25 college football poll for the 2026 season. Otherwise, this market will resolve "No". The "Week 6 AP poll" refers to the AP Top 25 poll released in Week 6 of the 2026 regular season, expected on October 11, 2026. The preseason poll does not count. A team ranked exactly 25th counts as "Yes"; a team ranked 26th or lower, receiving only "also receiving votes," or unranked counts as "No". If the AP does not release a Week 6 poll for the 2026 season by October 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, resolution will be based on the first official in-season AP Top 25 poll published thereafter. The primary resolution source will be the official Associated Press Top 25 college football poll (https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-football-poll); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates the insights of many individual traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk appetites. It's common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or public perception shifts regarding team performance and potential rankings.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a team's inclusion in the Week 6 AP Poll Top 25. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares in a particular team, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price discovery process allows for a dynamic assessment of probabilities based on the collective intelligence of the crowd, potentially revealing insights not captured by traditional methods.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official Week 6 AP Poll is released and is verifiable from credible public reporting. The AP Poll is a widely recognized ranking of college football teams, compiled by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. The market will settle based on whether each team listed is included within the Top 25 of that official poll. Any disputes regarding the poll's accuracy would be addressed by referencing the official AP Poll release.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before it resolves. Unexpected upsets in upcoming games, key player injuries, and changes in team performance are all potential catalysts. Significant news regarding coaching changes or program controversies could also influence trader sentiment. Furthermore, any shifts in the perceived strength of schedules or conference standings could lead to adjustments in the odds. Monitoring these events and their potential impact on team rankings is crucial for anyone participating in this market.
