This set of markets tracks the total points scored by both teams during the third quarter of a specific college football game. Each market corresponds to a different threshold of points, allowing participants to speculate on the exact scoring level in that quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the third quarter of the NC St. vs Stanford college football game scheduled for October 23, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold (e.g., over 2.5, 5.5, up to 27.5 points); if the combined score exceeds the threshold, the market resolves to Yes. Only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely adjust prices based on their own analysis and information. If sportsbook odds suggest a strong favorite, but traders in this market believe the outcome is less certain, the price will adjust accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts closer to the event date.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 3rd quarter of the NC State vs Stanford game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, and the market will settle to 100 for the outcome that occurs (either over or under the specified point total). Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will receive a payout of 100 per contract, while those on the incorrect outcome will lose their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the NC State or Stanford teams could significantly shift expectations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also play a role. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first half of the game, and any adjustments to team strategies, could lead traders to reassess their probabilities. Unexpected line-up changes or late-breaking news related to team morale could also move this market.
