Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly diverges from the sportsbook’s initial assessment. Furthermore, prediction markets benefit from continuous price discovery as new information emerges, potentially reacting faster to key developments than traditional odds.
