Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a 'wisdom of the crowd' perspective, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, while this market is driven purely by traders' beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks have different information and expertise, and their odds can be influenced by factors not fully captured in this market.
