In the upcoming Netherlands Eerste Divisie game between MVV Maastricht and Heracles Almelo, scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 10:45 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the MVV Maastricht vs. Heracles Almelo match originally scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 10:45 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often include a 'vig' or commission built into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market reflects the wisdom of the crowd and can shift rapidly based on new information or changing sentiment. It’s useful to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and changing perceptions about the MVV vs. Heracles match.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the MVV vs. Heracles match – the exact score – will be used to determine which shares pay out. The resolution will be based on the official match data, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome. Traders should monitor official sources for the final score to understand the resolution process and confirm their winnings or losses.
