Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probabilities of various outcomes. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or as the event draws closer. Examining these differences can be a valuable exercise for informed forecasting.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the market price adjusts to reflect the aggregated sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's depth—the number of shares available at different price points—indicates the level of liquidity and potential price impact of larger trades. Traders aim to profit by accurately predicting the outcome and capitalizing on price discrepancies.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders should monitor official sources for the game's final score to understand when and how this market will be finalized.
