Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probability as assessed by traders. It's common to see differences emerge, particularly as new information becomes available or as public sentiment shifts. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on statistical models, this market can quickly adjust to incorporate insights from a wider range of sources and expert opinions, potentially offering a more accurate forecast.
