PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's resolution criteria are ambiguous, resolving 'Yes' for either team winning, while Polymarket specifies the winning team by name.Hero tip: Prioritize Polymarket as it clearly defines resolution based on the winning team. Kalshi's 'Yes' for either outcome introduces unnecessary ambiguity.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves to the winning team ('Murray State Racers' or 'Tennessee State Tigers'). If the game is postponed, the market remains open. If canceled, it resolves 50-50.
  • Kalshi: Resolves to 'Yes' if either Murray State or Tennessee State wins the game scheduled for November 2, 2026. The date is a potential error.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins. Prediction markets, however, are driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome, leading to potentially more efficient pricing. While sportsbooks may initially have an edge, prediction markets can converge on the true probability as more information becomes available and trading volume increases. This market provides a unique perspective compared to conventional betting options.

Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi for this market can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has a different user base, trading volume, and fee structure, all of which can influence price discovery. Additionally, the specific design of each market – such as the available contract types or margin requirements – can attract different types of traders. These variations can lead to temporary discrepancies in the perceived probability of each outcome, even though both platforms are ultimately tracking the same event. These differences are a normal part of a decentralized prediction market ecosystem.
