Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to remember that prediction markets are forward-looking, incorporating new information as it becomes available, potentially leading to different probabilities than those offered by sportsbooks.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, with the platform ensuring that the total value of all shares sums to 1. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities accordingly, offering a real-time assessment of the event’s potential results.

This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Mukhin vs. Stetsenko match, as determined by the governing sports organization. The platform will then verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to share holders accordingly. Traders should monitor official announcements for confirmation of the final result and the subsequent settlement of this market.

Several factors could influence the trading activity and price movement of this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in match scheduling, or updates on player form could significantly impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or pre-match analysis from reputable sources could also lead to shifts in the odds. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed traders could signal new information or a change in market perception, causing a rapid adjustment in the price of shares for either outcome.
