The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price fluctuates based on supply and demand; increased buying pressure drives the price up, indicating growing confidence in an outcome, while selling pressure lowers it. This dynamic pricing allows for a real-time assessment of expectations.

The market’s resolution is independent of any pre-match predictions or analyses, relying solely on the official outcome.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in prior matches could shift trader sentiment. Publicly available analysis from sports experts, or even significant social media discussion, might also impact the perceived probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions or changes to the match venue could also play a role. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding potential shifts in the market's price.
