Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in opinion. It's common to see prediction markets reflect the 'wisdom of the crowd' more effectively than individual sportsbook lines, though this isn't always the case.
