In the upcoming Scottish Premiership game between Motherwell FC and Heart of Midlothian FC, scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Motherwell FC vs. Heart of Midlothian FC match originally scheduled for October 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own research and information. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it might indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that new information hasn't yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. It’s a useful comparison for anyone following the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score, and the price of each share reflects the market's current assessment of its probability. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective belief. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s efficiency comes from the incentive for traders to accurately predict the outcome; those who correctly anticipate the final score can profit from their foresight, driving prices towards a more accurate representation of the event's likelihood.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Motherwell FC versus Heart of Midlothian FC match will be used to determine the winning share(s) in this market. Any official sources reporting the match result will be considered for verification. Traders should monitor reputable sports news outlets for the official result, as that will be the basis for settlement of this market on Polymarket.
Several factors could influence the movement of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Motherwell or Hearts would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also move the market, as could any significant updates from reliable sports analysts covering the Scottish Premiership.
