Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a “vig” or commission into their odds, while prediction markets allow traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities, with prediction markets sometimes providing more accurate forecasts, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups – bettors at sportsbooks versus traders on Polymarket.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the second half – whether Motherwell FC wins, Celtic FC wins, or the half ends in a draw – will be used to determine the winning outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially declared and verified. This ensures a fair and transparent resolution process for all participants in this market.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role. Furthermore, in-game events during the first half, such as early goals or red cards, could significantly impact the odds for the second half. Overall team form and recent performance statistics are also likely to be considered by traders when assessing probabilities in this market.
