This market tracks which team will lead at the end of the first half in an upcoming college football game. It reflects the competitive performance of the teams during the initial 30 minutes of play, offering a snapshot of early-game momentum. The outcome depends solely on the points scored in the first half, not the final game result.
The market resolves based on which team is leading at the end of the first half of the Morgan St. vs Tennessee St. college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. If either team holds the lead after the first half concludes, the corresponding market will resolve to Yes. If the teams are tied at the end of the first half, the Tie market resolves to Yes. Postponements that commence within 48 hours of the original start time will still be resolved based on the official first-half result. If the game does not begin within 48 hours of its scheduled time, the market will resolve to a fair price. Points from the second half or any overtime periods are irrelevant for this market.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines due to the dynamic nature of trading. Sportsbooks set initial odds based on their analysis, while this market’s odds are continuously adjusted by traders reacting to news, injuries, and other factors. It’s common to see this market converge with sportsbook odds as the event approaches, but discrepancies can emerge if traders have access to information not yet reflected in traditional betting markets. This can present opportunities for informed traders.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the likelihood of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders aim to profit by accurately predicting the event's outcome and capitalizing on price discrepancies. The more traders believe a team will win the first half, the higher the price of its contract will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the latest available information.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the first half of the Morgan St. vs Tennessee St. game will be declared the winner of this market. The official game results, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized on Kalshi.
