If Davidson scores more points than Morehead State in the first half, that market resolves to Yes. If Morehead State scores more points than Davidson in the first half, its corresponding market resolves to Yes. If both teams are tied at the end of the first half, the tie market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, and can sometimes differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by participants’ beliefs about the probability of each team winning the first half. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of public attention. If significant differences exist, it may present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both venues.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a particular team, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence in their chances. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as new information becomes available and traders update their assessments of the game’s potential outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will settle based on which team is leading at the end of the first half of the Morehead St. vs. Davidson basketball game. The official score at halftime will be used to determine the winning team, and this information will be sourced from reliable sports news outlets and official game statistics. Traders will then be paid out based on their holdings in the winning contract.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Morehead St. or Davidson would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team performance leading up to the game, such as recent wins or losses, could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about starting lineups or coaching strategies could also move the market. Finally, general public perception and betting trends, as reflected in sportsbook odds, can indirectly influence trading activity on Kalshi.
