Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, driven by traders actively buying and selling contracts, tends to aggregate diverse perspectives and can sometimes offer more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches and more information surfaces. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information and varying risk appetites between market participants and sportsbook operators.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores. The price of each contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the crowd. Higher volume on a particular outcome generally indicates greater confidence in its likelihood, while price fluctuations signal changing expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the Indian Super League match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will settle to 100% in favor of the contract corresponding to the exact final score achieved in the match. Any discrepancies or ambiguities in the reported score will be resolved based on official league records and widely accepted sources of sports data. The outcome will be determined by the official result as recorded by the league organizers.
