Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities as new information emerges. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one outcome, but this market shows a more even split, it could indicate disagreement with the conventional wisdom. It's important to compare both to form a well-rounded perspective.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people trade, the price adjusts to reflect the collective belief of the market participants. The higher the demand for a particular outcome, the higher its share price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market stays responsive to new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
