Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides of a bet, while this market is driven by individuals willing to take a position. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk assessments. Comparing the odds can reveal where the crowd believes there’s value, or where sportsbooks may have mispriced the probability of an outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment of the event's likelihood.

This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the MODUS Super Series match between Scott Mitchell and Aaron Turner. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources, ensuring an accurate and transparent resolution process. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will not.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding the players’ form, potential injuries, or changes in strategy could shift the odds. Public sentiment, reflected in polls or expert analysis, might also impact trader behavior. Unexpected announcements related to the match schedule or venue could also create volatility. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of either player’s chances of winning could lead to significant movements in this market before it resolves.
