Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which may be influenced by factors like house biases or public perception. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each player winning. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges that isn't yet fully priced into traditional odds. Examining these differences can offer valuable insights into market sentiment.
