Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to incorporate a profit margin and account for public betting patterns, potentially leading to biases. This market, however, is driven by individuals directly wagering on the outcome, which can result in odds that more closely align with the true underlying probabilities as perceived by informed bettors. Discrepancies can arise from differing levels of information, analytical approaches, or simply varying opinions on the players’ performance potential. It’s valuable to compare both to gain a comprehensive understanding.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand, with traders adjusting their positions based on new information and their own analysis of the match between Neil Duff and Danny Ayres. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd.

This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the MODUS Super Series match between Neil Duff and Danny Ayres as reported by the official tournament organizers. The market will determine which player won the match, and the outcome will be based on the official scoreline. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the resolution is finalized and the winning outcome is confirmed.

Several factors could influence the price movement in this market. Any news regarding the players’ recent performance, injuries, or changes in their playing style could significantly impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the match schedule or venue could also cause fluctuations. Furthermore, expert analysis or public predictions from darts commentators and analysts could sway opinions and drive trading activity. The overall volume traded in this market will also be a key indicator of how responsive it is to new information leading up to Nov 5, 2026.
