Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which are set by professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public betting percentages and risk management into their lines, while this market relies on individuals directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information becomes available leading up to the event.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. The market’s price is determined by supply and demand; if more people believe an outcome is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event’s probability.

This market resolves around Nov 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the MODUS Super Series match between David Davies and Darren Beveridge.
