Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant difference emerges, arbitrage opportunities may arise, as traders could potentially profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price will fluctuate, reflecting the evolving consensus. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand for shares related to the MODUS Super Series darts match.
This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the MODUS Super Series darts match between Darren Beveridge and David Davies. The platform will verify the result against publicly available and reliable sources to determine the winning outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the final result.
Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding the form of Darren Beveridge or David Davies, such as recent match results, injuries, or changes in their playing style, could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the tournament itself, such as venue changes or rule modifications, might also have an impact. Finally, significant betting activity or large trades on Polymarket could also cause the market price to move, reflecting a change in perceived probability.
