Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probabilities as assessed by traders. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early in the market’s lifecycle, as prediction markets can quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities based on collective intelligence. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Polymarket may converge with sportsbook odds, reflecting a similar understanding of the likely outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and collective wisdom of the traders participating in this market.

This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
