Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd approach, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one competitor, this market might show a more nuanced view if traders believe the other competitor has a higher chance of winning. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, or simply the collective judgment of market participants. It's common to see this market adjust rapidly to news and insights.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. Higher demand for shares in a specific outcome will drive its price up, indicating increased confidence, while selling pressure will lower the price. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date predictions.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Baetens vs Self match as declared by the governing body of the MODUS Super Series. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome is the correct one and settle the market accordingly. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out based on the final market price at resolution.
