Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd approach, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, particularly as an event approaches. Sportsbooks may incorporate biases or seek to profit from public perception, while this market aggregates the informed opinions of many traders. However, discrepancies can occur due to differing levels of liquidity and information available to each group. It’s common to see initial sportsbook odds move closer to the prediction market price as more information becomes available and trading volume increases.
