Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs. If prediction market participants have access to information that sportsbooks don't, or interpret information differently, you might see discrepancies. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, potentially offering a more accurate assessment of probabilities before the event begins.
