Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the beliefs of a diverse group of traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome in the MODUS Super Series darts match, we might see divergence between the two. It’s common to see prediction markets offer a more accurate forecast, especially when there’s strong disagreement with initial sportsbook lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a specific outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants regarding the MODUS Super Series darts match.
