Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds due to differences in incentives and information aggregation. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction markets reflect the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets incorporating information more quickly, and potentially offering more accurate probabilities. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly before a significant event or when new information emerges. Examining these differences can highlight where the crowd disagrees with professional oddsmakers.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective forecast. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is driven entirely by supply and demand, meaning that shifts in sentiment or new information can rapidly impact the odds. This dynamic pricing allows for a constantly updated assessment of the potential results.

This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the MODUS Super Series match, as reported by the official tournament organizers. The platform will verify the result against established sources to ensure accuracy. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout equivalent to 1 minus the commission, while shares in losing outcomes will be worth zero. This ensures a clear and transparent resolution process.

Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes in strategy for either Alex Spellman or Danny Trueman would likely impact trading activity. Unexpected results in other matches leading up to this one could also shift perceptions of player momentum. Furthermore, major announcements related to the tournament itself, such as changes to the playing conditions, could influence the odds. Overall, any information that alters the perceived probability of either player winning is likely to drive price movement in this market.
