Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, whereas this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, we often see the prediction market odds move in the opposite direction. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially as more information becomes available and the event draws nearer.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand within Polymarket, and is not influenced by external factors or other prediction markets.

This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding the players’ form, injuries, or changes to their strategies could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the match conditions or venue could also play a role. Public opinion, as reflected in polls or expert analyses, might also have an impact, though the market is ultimately driven by trading activity on Polymarket. Major upsets in other related matches could also indirectly influence how traders assess the probabilities in this market.
