On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular player winning the ALCS MVP award. As more shares are purchased for a player, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability of success. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share effectively represents the implied probability of that player winning, and the market aggregates these individual beliefs to create an overall assessment. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the ALCS MVP is officially announced and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official announcement from Major League Baseball will be the determining factor. The player receiving the most votes from a panel of media members is designated as the MVP. This market will settle to 100% for the winning player and 0% for all others, reflecting the definitive outcome of the award.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player performance during the ALCS is the most obvious driver, with strong performances increasing a player's chances and moving their odds accordingly. Injuries to key players could also cause shifts, as the absence of a star impacts team dynamics and individual award prospects. Unexpected upsets in the series, or a player exceeding expectations in crucial moments, could also drive substantial changes in trading activity. Any news regarding player health, team strategy, or even media narratives surrounding potential candidates could influence the market.
