This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player hits at least one home run in any game of the 2026 MLB Playoffs National League Championship Series between the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Only home runs credited to the listed player in the official box score will count. Inside-the-park home runs count toward this market. All innings of each game, including extra innings, will be considered. A game that is postponed or suspended will count once it has been completed. Official scoring changes announced by MLB within 24 hours of the end of the relevant game will be considered, but later changes will not. If the series is not completed by November 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, for any reason, including cancellation of the 2026 MLB Playoffs, this market will resolve based on games of the series completed by that time. A home run hit in a game that has been suspended and not completed by that time will not count. The resolution source for this market will be official information from MLB, including official box scores; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, particularly as an event approaches. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. However, initial sportsbook lines can sometimes influence early trading activity. It’s common to see this market adjust as new information emerges, such as lineup announcements or weather forecasts, potentially diverging from initial sportsbook offerings as traders incorporate these factors into their predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official game results are verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on whether a player successfully hits a home run during the specified game between the Brewers and the Dodgers. The official MLB game logs will serve as the definitive record for determining which players, if any, hit home runs. Any disputes will be handled according to Polymarket’s standard procedures for verifying event outcomes.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes to the batting lineup, or even weather conditions could cause shifts in trader sentiment. A key player being unexpectedly benched or a forecast for strong winds could dramatically alter the perceived probabilities. Furthermore, performance in preceding games or recent hitting streaks could influence how traders assess a player's likelihood of hitting a home run. Keep an eye on baseball news and analysis leading up to the game, as these factors will likely drive movement in this market.
