In the upcoming La Liga game between Málaga CF and Real Sociedad de Fútbol, scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Málaga CF vs. Real Sociedad de Fútbol match originally scheduled for October 18, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a specific exact score is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply varying interpretations of team form and potential strategies. It's common to see prediction markets as more accurate forecasts, especially closer to the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores for the first half, and the price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about its probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices converge to represent a more accurate forecast. The market isn’t tied to any specific formula; instead, it’s driven by supply and demand. The current price of a share indicates the percentage of the total payout a trader will receive if that exact score occurs during the first half.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official, final first-half score of the Málaga CF versus Real Sociedad de Fútbol match. Any potential adjustments or corrections to the score made by the official league governing body will be reflected in the resolution. The market will determine which exact score occurred during the first 45 minutes of play, plus any added stoppage time, as officially recorded by the league.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Málaga CF or Real Sociedad de Fútbol would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift the odds. Furthermore, any updates on team formations or tactical approaches revealed before kickoff could impact trader sentiment. Finally, large volume trades from informed bettors could also trigger price fluctuations as they express their views on the likely first-half outcome.
