All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market relies on the collective predictions of traders. If a significant number of people believe a particular outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been traded on this market, as prediction markets can be more efficient at incorporating new information.
This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Málaga CF or Espanyol would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, especially if they affect playing style, could also shift the odds. Any unexpected developments leading up to kickoff have the potential to move this market.
