Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Polymarket and Kalshi both resolve based on the official match outcome (win, loss, or draw) within 90 minutes plus stoppage time on March 28, 2026, using official governing body statistics as the primary source.
Primary resolution logic:
Official La Liga 2 / governing body match statistics; if unavailable within 2 hours post-match, credible reporting consensus
Core resolution logic:
Exactly one of three mutually exclusive outcomes will occur: Málaga CF wins, CD Leganés wins, or the match ends in a draw.
Each outcome resolves one corresponding market to YES and the other two to NO.
Resolution is based solely on the result within 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled with no make-up game, Polymarket's draw market resolves YES and win markets resolve NO; Kalshi's markets all resolve YES (covering all three outcomes as catch-all).
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the match is actually played and completed.
Match Cancellation Without Make-Up: Polymarket treats cancellation as a draw (draw market YES, win markets NO). Kalshi's catch-all structure (all three outcome markets resolve YES) functionally covers this scenario, though the practical effect differs in payout structure.
Source Timing Contingency: If official La Liga 2 statistics are not published within 2 hours after match conclusion, both platforms permit resolution based on consensus of credible reporting sources.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon completion of the match on March 28, 2026, with official statistics published by La Liga 2 or governing body within 2 hours post-match, or via credible reporting consensus if official sources are delayed.
