This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are scored by players catching passes in an upcoming college football game. Each market focuses on a specific threshold of such scoring plays for either team. The outcomes depend purely on the game's offensive performance through the air.
All markets resolve based on the official number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team during the Missouri vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026, including any overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is defined as a touchdown in which the player who catches the pass scores. Touchdowns resulting from fumble recoveries by another player do not count, unless the receiving player recovers their own fumble and scores. Successful two-point conversions, regardless of when they occur, are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the likelihood of different outcomes. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. Tracking these differences can be a valuable exercise for informed bettors.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome—in this case, different numbers of receiving touchdowns for Ole Miss. The price of each contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the crowd, providing a dynamic and real-time forecast for the event.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final number of receiving touchdowns scored by Ole Miss in the Missouri vs Ole Miss game will determine the winning contract. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and verifiable result. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies for future markets.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Missouri or Ole Miss, particularly their receiving corps or quarterbacks, would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, especially if they suggest adverse conditions for passing, could also shift the market. Additionally, any updates on team strategies or coaching decisions related to offensive play-calling could cause traders to reassess their predictions and adjust their positions in this market.
