These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half of a college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
The markets resolve based on whether the combined score of both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Missouri vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026, exceeds specified thresholds ranging from 2.5 to 47.5 points. Only points scored during the second half and any overtime periods count toward these thresholds. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows participants to directly express their beliefs about the likelihood of different outcomes. If sportsbook odds suggest a particular total is heavily favored, we might see a higher price for contracts predicting that outcome here, or vice versa. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges and the event draws closer.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible total scores for the second half. The price of each contract indicates the probability of that specific total occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective expectation. The market’s price discovery process allows for a dynamic assessment of the likely outcome, influenced by factors like team performance, injuries, and even weather conditions.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official total score for the second half of the Missouri versus Ole Miss game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics, and the contract corresponding to that total will be settled at 100. All other contracts will settle to 0. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand the resolution of this market.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the Missouri or Ole Miss teams would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring high or low scoring, could also move the market. In-game performance during the first half, such as a dominant offensive showing by one team, could also shift expectations and influence trading activity. Finally, any late-breaking news related to team strategy or coaching decisions could also play a role.
