These markets track how decisively either team wins the second half of a college football game, focusing specifically on the point differential after two quarters of play. Outcomes are determined solely by points scored in the latter half, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based exclusively on points scored during the second half (including overtime) of the Missouri vs Ole Miss college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market corresponds to a specific point differential threshold: if Ole Miss wins by more than a designated number of points (ranging from 2.5 to 23.5), or if Missouri wins by more than a designated number of points (ranging from 2.5 to 14.5), the respective market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve according to the final official result. Should the game fail to start within this 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only second-half points count toward these resolutions, and Kalshi explicitly disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA or ownership of related trademarks and logos.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it may indicate that prediction market traders have information or insights not fully incorporated into the sportsbook's pricing. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived from different sources and methodologies.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more people buy contracts predicting a certain spread, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived likelihood of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price will fluctuate based on new information and trader sentiment leading up to the game's second half.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final point spread of the second half of the Missouri versus Ole Miss football game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The resolution will reflect the official result as reported by the governing sports authority, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Missouri or Ole Miss teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team's playing style, could also shift the market. Furthermore, real-time performance during the first half of the game, such as a dominant offensive showing or a key defensive stop, could lead to substantial movements in the price of contracts in this market.
