Traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome – Missouri winning the first half, Ole Miss winning the first half, or a tie. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and place bets, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The current top outcome, according to Kalshi, is a Tie in the 1st half, though the chance percentage is not currently available.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Missouri or Ole Miss teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, especially if they predict adverse conditions, could also shift the odds. Furthermore, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions might influence trader sentiment. Finally, large volume trades on Kalshi itself can cause rapid price fluctuations, reflecting shifts in market perception as the game draws closer.
