This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in the final quarter of a college football game between Missouri and Arkansas. It provides a way to speculate on the momentum and performance of each team specifically in the last quarter of play, excluding any overtime periods.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points in the fourth quarter of the Missouri vs Arkansas college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026, excluding overtime. If Arkansas scores more points in the fourth quarter, its market resolves to Yes. If Missouri scores more points in the fourth quarter, its market resolves to Yes. If both teams score an equal number of points in the fourth quarter, the Tie market resolves to Yes. Postponements that commence within 48 hours of the original start time do not affect resolution, which remains based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, the market resolves to a fair price. Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can influence the price on Kalshi, potentially creating a divergence. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially when incorporating information not immediately reflected in sportsbook lines.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome – in this case, either Missouri or Arkansas winning the fourth quarter. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of that outcome’s likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time estimate of expectations. The higher the price, the greater the implied probability of that team winning.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the fourth quarter will be declared the winner. This determination will be based on official game statistics and results as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders who correctly predicted the winning team will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution, while those who bet on the losing team will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions could shift expectations. Unexpected performance during the game itself – a key player getting into foul trouble, a series of turnovers, or a significant scoring run – would likely cause rapid price movements. Public sentiment and media coverage can also play a role, as they influence the overall perception of each team’s chances. Monitoring these signals can help you understand potential shifts in this market.
