This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are caught by players from each team during a college football game. The outcomes depend on whether specific players on either team achieve thresholds for receiving touchdowns, counting only those scored directly by the intended receiver.
These markets resolve based on the total number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team in the Mississippi St. vs LSU college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. A receiving touchdown is counted only when the intended receiver catches the ball and scores without another player recovering a fumble. Touchdowns scored after a fumble recovery by a different player do not count, but if the receiving player recovers their own fumble and scores, it counts. All touchdowns, including those in overtime, are included in the total. Successful two-point conversions are excluded from the count regardless of when they occur. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market relies on the collective predictions of individuals trading contracts. If a significant number of traders believe a team is more likely to score touchdowns than sportsbooks suggest, the price for that outcome will decrease, indicating higher probability. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams’ capabilities. Keep an eye on how this market evolves as the game approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing 'Yes' or 'No' – will either Mississippi State or LSU receive touchdowns? The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more people buy 'Yes' contracts, the price increases, signifying a growing belief that touchdowns will be scored. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the market’s aggregate assessment of the probability of touchdowns being scored in this game, and is constantly updating as new information becomes available.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, following the completion of the Mississippi State vs LSU game. The outcome will be determined by whether either team is officially credited with scoring a touchdown during the game, as verified against credible public reporting. Official game statistics and play-by-play data will be used to confirm whether touchdowns were scored by either team. The final price of the contracts will reflect whether touchdowns were scored ('Yes') or not ('No'), and traders will be paid out accordingly based on their positions.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Injury reports for key offensive players on either team would be significant, as would any changes in weather forecasts that could impact the passing or running game. News regarding coaching strategies or adjustments to offensive schemes could also move the market. Unexpected announcements about player availability, even late in the week, could cause rapid price fluctuations. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of each team’s scoring potential has the power to move this market.
