It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate a broader range of factors and react more quickly to developments than traditional sportsbooks.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract directly reflects the market’s implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the event. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates what traders are willing to pay for a share of the potential payout if their predicted outcome wins the first half of the Minnesota vs New York game.
