This set of markets tracks how many points Minnesota and Indiana will score together in the second quarter of their college football game on October 31, 2026. Each market corresponds to a different scoring threshold, determining whether the combined second-quarter points exceed that value.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the second quarter of the Minnesota vs Indiana college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. For any market, if the combined second-quarter points exceed the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 5.5, up to 27.5 points), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly states it is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or breaking news. Examining these differences can be insightful, as the market may incorporate information not yet fully reflected in sportsbook pricing. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities and are subject to change.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official total points scored in the 2nd quarter of the Minnesota vs Indiana game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and used to determine whether the 'Over' or 'Under' contract pays out. The resolution process ensures an objective and transparent outcome based on the actual game results, providing a clear determination of the winning contracts.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries to key players on either the Minnesota or Indiana teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in starting lineups, coaching strategies, or even weather conditions could also impact predictions. Furthermore, late-breaking news about team morale or unexpected player performance in the first quarter could all contribute to shifts in the market. As the game approaches, increased media coverage and public attention will likely lead to higher trading volume and greater price volatility.
