These markets track the performance of both teams in a football game by counting how many times they successfully tackle the opposing team's quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. The outcomes depend on whether each team reaches specific thresholds of such tackles during the match.
All markets resolve based on the official number of sacks recorded by each team during the Minnesota vs Detroit Pro Football game scheduled for Nov 1, 2026. Sacks recorded during 2-point conversion attempts are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Each market has a distinct threshold (ranging from 2 to 6 sacks) for each team, with resolution dependent on whether the team's total sacks meet or exceed that threshold.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price of that outcome will rise, potentially offering better value than what’s available at a sportsbook. It’s a good practice to compare both to inform your decisions.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy into a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust its predictions accordingly, providing a real-time assessment of expectations for the total team sacks.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final number of team sacks recorded by official NFL statistics will determine the result. The contracts will then pay out based on whether the actual number of sacks falls within the ranges defined by the different contract prices available on Kalshi. Traders will be able to claim their winnings through the platform once the resolution is finalized.
Several factors could influence this market before it resolves. Late-breaking news regarding injuries to key offensive linemen or defensive players on either team would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if a storm is predicted, could also impact the number of sacks, as it affects passing and rushing attempts. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments announced before the game could also shift trader sentiment and move the price of contracts in this market.
