All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined in the second half (including overtime) of the Michigan vs Minnesota college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on internal models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. It's common to see initial discrepancies, as sportsbooks may react quickly to news, whereas the prediction market can take time to incorporate information. Over time, the market tends to converge with sportsbook odds, though differences can persist due to varying levels of information and analytical approaches.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official final score of the second half of the Michigan-Minnesota game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half, as recorded by official game statistics. The platform will verify the result against publicly available data to determine which contracts will pay out and at what value. Traders will then receive their payouts based on their positions in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Michigan or Minnesota would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. Game-time reports about team strategies or lineup changes could also play a role. Furthermore, large volume trades from informed participants could temporarily influence prices, reflecting their assessment of the game’s likely outcome. Monitoring these signals can provide valuable insights into potential market movements.
