These markets evaluate various scoring thresholds for the first quarter of a college football game between Michigan and Minnesota. Each outcome depends on whether the combined points scored by both teams exceed a specific numerical threshold during that initial period.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the first quarter of the Michigan vs Minnesota college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold, ranging from over 2.5 points to over 27.5 points. If the combined score exceeds the specified threshold for a given market, that market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. Only points scored during the first quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small team of experts, while this market incorporates insights from many individuals. It's common to see discrepancies, as prediction markets can sometimes identify information or biases that sportsbooks may miss. However, both aim to accurately forecast the probability of an event, and they frequently converge as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the total points scored in the first quarter of the Michigan vs Minnesota game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics, and the market will settle based on whether the total points exceed or fall short of the specified threshold. All trading will cease once the outcome is known, and contracts will be paid out accordingly to those who correctly predicted the result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Michigan or Minnesota would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also affect trading activity. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or updated betting lines from sportsbooks, could prompt traders to adjust their positions and alter the price of contracts in this market.
