This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are caught by players during a college football matchup. Each market focuses on a specific threshold of receiving touchdowns for either team, determining whether they meet or exceed that number in the game.
All markets resolve based on the total number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team during the Michigan St. vs Wisconsin college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026, including any overtime periods. Receiving touchdowns are defined as touchdowns where the player who caught the pass scores, excluding cases where another player recovers a fumble and scores. Successful 2-point conversions do not count toward these totals. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is unrelated to the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individuals. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when public perception diverges from expert analysis. These differences can present opportunities for informed traders.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome – in this case, which team will score touchdowns. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of that outcome’s likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market remains responsive to changing conditions and information related to the Michigan State vs Wisconsin game.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team, if any, scored touchdowns during the Michigan State vs Wisconsin game. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and play-by-play data, ensuring an objective and verifiable result. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their purchased contracts align with the final outcome of the game.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries on either team would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favorable to a run-heavy offense (potentially increasing touchdown opportunities), could also move the market. Furthermore, any shifts in public sentiment, reflected in betting trends or expert analysis, could drive trading activity and alter the odds. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic adjustments announced before the game could also play a role.
